Terry Ann Richmond

Terry Ann Richmond, 81, of Batavia, Ill. formerly of Aurora and Oswego, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Batavia, Ill. Terry was born December 10, 1939, in Aurora, Ill., the daughter of Ralph and Jane (nee. Barry) Van Pelt.

Terry was a bookkeeper for Colonial Drugs in Aurora, Ill., for over 20 years, and she worked for Hodgman Inc. of Montgomery, Ill. until retirement. After retirement, she worked for Aramark at Oswego High School making up to 50 pizzas a day for the students there.

She was a member and past president of the Aurora Junior Woman’s Club, where she was involved in many of the club's annual children’s plays. There, she met a wonderful group of lifelong friends.

Terry was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Ill.

Terry is survived by her three children, Dawn (Ken) Webb, Daniel (Debbie) Peterson, David (Kay) Peterson; her seven grandchildren, Megan, Ryan and Kevin Webb, Andrew and Stephanie Peterson, Justin and Kelly Peterson; her seven great-grandchildren; her three brothers, Richard (Fran) Van Pelt, Greg (Pam) Van Pelt and Kevin (Nancy) Van Pelt ; special dear friend, Ron Betz; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Barry Van Pelt; her sisters, Kathleen Haggerty, Patricia Vida, Cynthia Musgrove and Kimberle Breyne.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, Ill. 60510.  A memorial service will follow at 11:00 also at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Aurora, Il.
