Theresa Eleanor Becker

Theresa Eleanor Becker, 96, of Batavia, IL, passed away on August 5, 2021 with her family by her side at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital.  Theresa was born on October 2, 1924, in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of Adolph and Marie (nee. Hirmann) Hacker. She was united in marriage to Sylvester J. Becker on September 21, 1946, in Westmont, IL.

Theresa is survived by her children, Susan (David) Rolison, Maryanne (Chriss - deceased) Siverly, Diane (Bruce) Etzel, Robert (Beverly) Becker, Barbara (Timothy) Stevens, Ann (Michael) Hacker, Patricia (James) Housh, Donna (Karl) Diede, and Edward Becker. In addition, Theresa had 2 children who died at birth, John and Christine.                                                                                           

Theresa is survived by twenty grandchildren, Mark (Katie) Rolison, Brian Rolison, Andrew Siverly, Allison (Brandon) Elrod, Ryan (Ester) Etzel, Brent (Diane) Etzel, Kevin (Kimberly) Becker, Jason (Jessica) Becker, Julia Becker, Zachary (Lauren) Stevens, Zoe Stevens, Michael (Stephanie) Hacker, Anthony (Cori) Hacker, Stuart (Ashley) Hacker, Quentin Hacker, Thaddeus Hacker, Daniel Housh, Albert Diede, Nicholas Diede, and Emma (Charlie) Whitcomb.

Theresa is survived by twenty-two great grandchildren, Khendel Rolison, Ella Rolison, Luke Rolison, Rhyan Rolison, Beamz Siverly, Adelyn Etzel, Clayton Etzel, Madeline Becker, Jillian Becker, Braelyn Becker, Lylia Becker, Finley Becker, Conner Stevens, Lacey Stevens, Mason Stevens, Myhre Hacker, Marin Hacker, Audrey Hacker, Calvin Hacker, Norah Hacker, and Gregory Whitcomb. In addition, Baby Etzel will be born October 2021.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Sylvester J. Becker; and all of her siblings Adolph (Laura) Hacker, Marie (Anthony) Yanko, Minnie (Phlauris) Hocking, Rose (Richard) Carhoun , Helen (Adrian) Pasternak, John (Ellen) Hacker, Steven (Norrine) Hacker, Lorraine (Clarence) Hinrichs, Donald Hacker and Leonard (infant). Theresa was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was a faithful Catholic, who lived a life of love and devotion to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother many times over. Each and every new baby that came into her life was a source of tremendous joy for her. Always kind and generous with her talents, Theresa was an avid crafter and baker, who made the greatest coffee cake in the world.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL 60510.  A prayer service will start at 5:30 P.M. during the visitation.  Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2021.  A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Road, Aurora, Illinois 60505. Interment will be at Annunciation Cemetery in Aurora, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Thaddeus Hacker Fund c/o Michael and Ann Hacker.
