William John Schrauth

William “Bill” John Schrauth, 87, of Batavia, IL., passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles, Illinois.  Bill was born on September 23, 1932 in Geneva, IL., the son of Victor Schrauth and Theresa (nee. Connolley) Schrauth Anderson. 

He was a union carpenter for 40 years, and the last 30 years of his career was foreman for Shodeen Construction.  He was a member of the former Batavia Boat Club, a founding member of Snow Drifters Ski Club. He was a co-owner of the former Elbow Room in Batavia, IL. 

Bill is survived by his two sisters; Mary Imhoff of Kissimmee, FL. And Ellyn (John)Stewart of Batavia, IL., his sister-in-law; Anne Schrauth, his special nephew; Ken (Sandy) Cobb, his three great nieces;   Zada, Reese and Vivian Cobb, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers: Michael (the late Pat) Schrauth and Victor (Anne) Schrauth.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main St. Batavia, Il. 60510.  Interment will be at East Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, Il.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in William’s name may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
