Zane Zahner

Zane Zahner, 63, of St. Charles passed away suddenly Monday, November 30, 2020. He was born July 31, 1957 in Berwyn, IL the son of Ronald and Betty (McClure) Zahner. He was united in marriage to Mary Venneri on May 5, 1990 in St. Charles. 

Zane attended Hinsdale South High School for much of his high school career, before spending his senior year at St. Charles High School, graduating in 1975. He then went on to earn his associate degree at Elgin Community College. His greatest passion was music. He loved to play guitar with family and friends.

Zane’s career was spent in the cleaning industry. He was a sales showroom manager for Kranz, Inc. He sold products and machines to schools, businesses, and cleaning services. His loyalty, knowledge, and service to his customers will be greatly missed.

He is survived by, his loving wife Mary Zahner, two sons Edward John Zahner and Thomas Zane Zahner; seven siblings, Ronna Smith-Zahner (Roy Winterburg), Scott (Michael Denneny) Zahner, Kayette (Gary) Vik, Lance (Sandy) Zahner, Ira (Melinda) Zahner, Melanie (Jim Karner) Zahner, and Laurie (Paul) Zink; and many nieces and nephews.   

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Zahner and Betty Ann Zahner.   

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. December 5, 2020 at Whitney Cemetery on Burlington Road in Campton Hills. Donations can be made to the American Heart Foundation.
