In celebration of Alyssa Joy Pusateri, born Sunday, January 14th, 1990 in Winfield, Illinois and lived throughout her childhood in Wheaton, Illinois has passed from this world into her eternal heavenly home on the evening of Sunday, November 26th, 2023 surrounded by her family in their Elburn, Illinois home.

Alyssa graduated from Wheaton North High School in 2008 (Wheaton, Illinois) and went on to attend St. Petersburg College (Tarpon Springs, Florida). She was a competitive athlete on the Wheaton Falcon Soccer Team, Wheaton North Tennis Team and Wheaton North Cross Country Team. 

She had a great love and extraordinary talent in the Culinary Arts and was a true artisan in meal planning, preparation and presentation.  She took immense pride in the meals she cooked up for her family, family parties and in the various jobs she held.

She was a voracious reader and frequented a local library in whatever community she lived on a daily basis, always coming home with stacks of books. She also had a keen photographic eye and took some of the most amazing photos with a simple camera and iPhone. 

On May 12th, 2010 she gave birth to her daughter, Arabella Joy, in Safety Harbor, Florida. She was the love of her life.  Alyssa never missed preparing Arabella’s breakfast, lunch and dinner and steadfastly kept track of all Arabella’s school academia, sports and fun activities with Arabella’s dearest school friends in Elburn, Illinois.

Alyssa had a spirit filled with warmth, love, light and laughter for everyone. Her heart was unjudging and sought equality and truth.

She was devoted and driven to provide outstanding service at work and in the home whenever she was able.

She leaves behind her father, Joseph A. Pusateri III; her mother, Joyce Marie (Hodge) Pusateri; her brother, Grant A. Pusateri; her beloved daughter, Arabella Joy Pusateri; her grandmother, Judith Pusateri; preceaded in death by her grandfather, Joseph A. Pusateri II (Boopa); grandfather, John B. Hodge; grandmother, Cathleen (Green) Hodge and 

many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

A celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held on Sunday, January 14th, 2024 at the Elburn Lions Club, 500 Filmore St., Elburn IL 60119, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elburn Lions Club, 500 Filmore St., Elburn, IL  60119.  Memories and tributes may be left on the Conley Funeral
