July 31, 1935 - August 23, 2026

Andrew Michael Dina, of West Chicago, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on July 31, 1935, Andrew shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Ann. He had a deep passion for cars, building model planes, and, above all, spending time with his family and friends. Andrew lived a vibrant life marked by hard work and a diverse career. He began his professional journey serving as a part-time policeman in Berkeley, followed by service in the U.S. Army. For many years, he worked as a meat cutter at Hi-Low Foods until its closing in 1976. He later owned and operated his own meat market and deli in the mid-1980s. However, Andrew found his true calling in sales. In 1976, he transitioned into a successful sales career with Gestetner, selling printers, offset presses, and copiers until the company was acquired by Ricoh in 1995. His natural talent for connection spanned various industries—from printing equipment and car sales to frozen foods. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he eventually founded his own company, MaryChris LLC, operating as a successful frozen food broker well into his 80s. Andrew possessed a relentless drive, and was always in pursuit of “the big deal.” Outside of work, he always looked forward to the family vacations, loved his friends and family deeply, and his presence will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ann; his sister, Anita Rattay; his daughter, Ann Marie  Schroeder (Gary); and his sons, Andy (Jeannie) and Chris (Leslie). He was the proud grandfather of Marlee Nowicki (Johnny), Nicolas (Chrysa), Donald, Joseph (Chali), Dominic, Ava, and Declan; and the cherished great-grandfather of Cecelia, Noelle, and Sloane.Memorial Service: September 3rd Location: Saint John Neumann Church, 2900 E.
