Barbara Suits Obituary Barbara Suits, age 65, of St. Charles, passed away August 6, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 1, 1961, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Glenn and June (Mack) Roon. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched so many lives. She had a love for the simple joys in life and especially cherished time spent with her family. Barbara thoroughly enjoyed watching her sons, Ryan and Sean, compete in athletics, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines. That love of watching her children compete naturally transitioned into watching and supporting her grandchildren, Caden, Teagan, Kinsley, and Hunter, as they pursued their own activities and interests. She was an avid walker, walking four to five miles every day, and whenever she could, she loved taking Sean’s dog, Murdock, along with her. She had a special love for the ocean and the beach, finding peace and happiness whenever she was near the water. Barbara also loved Christmas and took great joy in making her famous Christmas cookies, baking more than 1,000 cookies each year to share with family and friends. She was also an avid gardener who took great pride and joy in caring for her flowers and garden. Her traditions, laughter, kindness, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her. Barbara is survived by her husband Gary; sons Ryan (Jackie) of Elburn and Sean of Geneva; grandchildren Caden, Teagan, Kinsley, and Hunter; siblings Janet (Bill) Henderson, Glenn “Bud” (Jean), and Dave (Carole); sister-in-law Cindy; nieces and nephews Brett, her honorary son (Sage), Frankie, Peter (Jen), Chris (Cassie), Emily (Steven), Grant, Erik (Courtney), Shannon, Mary, and Glenn (Regina); and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steve, and niece Gabrielle. Services for Barbara will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to a charity that is meaningful to you.
