DONNA CLAYTON

Donna Clayton, age 86, of Batavia passed away peacefully on September 17, 2022.

Donna was born in Aurora, IL, on January 27, 1936 to loving parents Leslie and Lorraine (Strobert)  Williams.

Donna lived her early years in Aurora until her family came to make their home in Elburn in 1939. 

Growing up, Donna attended local schools and was a proud graduate of Elburn High School with the class of 1954. She was close with her classmates and over the years tried to keep in touch through class reunions.

Donna was a proud member of 4-H while in high school.  She also enjoyed being a member of a local women’s organization, the Quivera Club, for a number of years.

Donna had a passion for Christmas memorabilia, most of all, a multitude of Santa Claus items and acquired a large assortment of them. She also surrounded herself with an exponential amount of teddy bears, which brought her joy.

Donna is survived by her three children; Jeffrey (Cindy) Byerhof, Mark (April) Byerhof, and Mary (Brian) Krueger; nine grandchildren: Jessica (Seth) Whitfield, Caleb (Amber) Byerhof, Courtney Byerhof, Shira Ealey, Christopher Ealey, Brekk Callaway, Joseph Byerhof, Cody Byerhof, Troy (Carla) Krueger, along with many great-grandchildren. Donna is also survived by her 3 brothers; Dennis Williams, Ron (Carol) Williams, and Don (Jennifer) Williams; and one sister; Jodeen Byerhof.

Donna now joins her parents; Leslie and Lorraine Williams, as well as her husband; Dean Clayton.

Following cremation, Donna’s family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
