Frank Maxson Obituary Frank A. Maxson, age 87, of Batavia, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 19, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William and Otillia (Arbinger) Maxson. A first-generation college student, Frank graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He served in the National Guard for 13 years, discharging as a Captain. He spent his career of 47 years at Prudential and its affiliates, retiring as a Vice President. After retirement, Frank served with dedication and honor as a Trustee of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1 and Participating Employers Pension Trust in Chicago since 2003 and an Employer Trustee of the SEIU National Industry Pension Fund in Washington D.C. since 2007. An avid patron and supporter of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Frank most recently joined the Board of Directors in 2022. He was also a member of the Fox Valley Woodworkers Club, Inc. and a loyal Chicago Bears fan. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia; children Scott (Elaine) Maxson of Aurora and Kelley (Bob) Burgbacher of Tennessee; grandchildren Ethan (Alyssa), Shannon, and Rachel Maxson and Emily and Sarah Burgbacher; near lifelong friend Bernadette Mayer. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Beatrice Raglione, Diana Maxson, William Maxson and Alice Continelli. A visitation for Frank will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1:00 p, until the time of his memorial service at 3:00 pm at 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. Burial will be held privately.
