GORDIE HARD

Gordon “Gordie” Hard’s golden heart stopped beating on October 7, 2022, in Jasper, TN, where he made his home in recent years. His sudden departure meant we never got to say goodbye, but Gordie’s unique spirit and ever present grin will accompany the memories we keep in our hearts.

He was born in Elgin, IL, on May 30, 1950, to loving parents, Gordon T. and Lois L. (Lauderdale) Hard.

He now leaves his loving wife, Kathleen Hard; two daughters: Rachel (Tom) Wojcik and Makenzie (Lance) Yoerger; two grandchildren: Sasha and Laszlo Wojcik; two sisters: Jayne Hard and Kathy (Roy) Krughoff; several nieces, nephews and a community of friends.

He now joins his parents, Gordon and Lois Hard and one brother Scott Hard.

A celebration of Gordie’s life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, with a time of visitation from 1-2 p.m., followed by a time of remembrance at 2 p.m., with additional visitation until 4 p.m. at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. Private family interment will follow at a later date.
