ISRAEL UVALDO
Date of BirthMay 7, 2007 Date of DeathMay 14, 2023 Israel Uvaldo, age 16, of Aurora, IL, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. Released from the chains of Muscular Dystrophy, he is now free to run and laugh in Heaven. He was born May 7, 2007, to Felix and Lorena Uvaldo in Chicago, IL. Israel spent his first few years in Chicago before his family moved to Aurora where they have since made their home. Being born with Muscular Dystrophy, Israel faced many challenges but met them with a strong spirit and a never-ending smile. He was always very happy and loved to sing and dance his favorite Christian artists, such as Paul Wilbert. His voice greeted the morning and all who could hear him as he gave an impromptu concert with the rising of the sun. The path to his heart went through his stomach. Food was number one and his hunger seemed to never end. It didn’t help that he enjoyed watching his favorite cooking shows that teased his taste buds with every dish. His favorite was his aunt’s lasagna even though it was difficult for him to eat. Israel was a natural talker and loved having conversations with anyone. He was a great listener whose heart was always open to others. Israel touched the hearts of all he met and will forever be remembered. He now leaves his loving parents, Felix Uvaldo and Lorena Avila; three siblings: Jairo, Emanuel and Ana Crystal Uvaldo; maternal grandparents, Antonio and Anita Avila; many cousins and a family of friends. Israel is now reunited with his paternal grandparents, Filemon Uvaldo and Tomasa Borboa who preceded him in death.
