KYLE C. ROETHEMEIER
Date of BirthFebruary 7, 2002 Date of DeathJanuary 7, 2023 Kyle Roethemeier, age 20, of Elburn, passed away tragically on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was born February 7, 2002, in Aurora, IL, to loving parents, Kent and Regina Roethemeier. Kyle grew up in Elburn and attended local schools, while participating in Boy Scouts and as a member of the Venturing Crew with St. Gall Catholic Church. He graduated from Kaneland High School with the class of 2020. He was member of the Fox Valley Robotics Club in Batavia, where he started in FIRST Lego League and eventually moved up into the VEX league, building metal machines that he used in competitions. His ingenuity and imagination was built into every step and could be seen clearly from his creations. Following graduation, Kyle began working at the Elburn McDonalds and quickly rose through the ranks to Shift Manager, making meals but also friends with the “frequent flyers†that came through on a regular basis. Kyle loved his music and ventured into writing his own poetry. His inspirations came from his favorite bands including Imagine Dragons. His story is more than a moment, filled by 20 years of family, friendships and connections that stretch across not only the community, but across the hearts of all who loved him. He will be remembered for the person he was, and the man that he was becoming and for the love and laughter that will never be forgotten. Kyle leaves his parents, Kent and Regina Roethemeier; his paternal grandmother, Emma Roethemeier; his sister, Camille Roethemeier; his aunt and uncle: Geri and Brian Bardelli; his cousin Lila Bardelli; and his four legged best friend, Roscoe, who was always excited to see him. He joins his paternal grandfather, Leroy Roethemeier and his maternal grandparents, Camille and Patricia LaPierre. A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kyle’s memory to the Elburn Food Pantry where he enjoyed volunteering.
