Steven G. Schuppner, age 68, passed away Sunday, Jul 24, 2022 , at Sunrise Senior Living in Roseville, MN with his partner Ruth by his side. He has been released from his 4 year battle with colon cancer and is now with his Lord and Savior. He was born September 20, 1953 in Elgin, Illinois to loving parents, Paul & Adeline (Hellmuth) Schuppner. He grew up on a dairy farm in rural Maple Park. He attended Kaneland High School and graduated with the class of 1971. After graduating, Steve attended Waubonsee Community College and studied law enforcement. He then went to work full time with his father on the family farm located on Meredith Road in Maple Park. He farmed alongside his father for many years making countless memories along the way. Steve supported his dairy farming habit by working other jobs. He drove a milk truck, worked for IDOT and the USPS. He competed in many county fairs (Dupage, Kane, and Illinois) which allowed him to show his prize dairy cows. Once Steve put his farming days to rest, he became a mailman and worked hard delivering mail until his retirement. Steve was a lifelong Cubs fan, enjoying watching games and attending spring training. Being a farmer at heart, he and Ruth also loved a rural country drive and discovering new places. Steve was a loving father to his two children. He supported them in all their endeavors. He never missed a game or event and could always be found in the stands cheering them on. As a grandfather, Steve found true joy. He felt truly blessed to be a grandpa. Steve made it a priority to be an involved grandparent. He loved his grandchildren and you could tell it as his face would light up each time they entered a room.. He always said “I love you”, gave countless hugs and would be by the door to wave goodbye. Steve leaves behind his partner, Ruth Banas of Roseville MN. His son Paul (Nicole) Schuppner and their daughter Emerson of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. His daughter Andrea (Josh) Pethoud and their daughters: Maysen, Addisen, and Braylen of Sycamore, IL. Ruth Banas’ children: Renee Banas and her sons Chester and Sonny; and Andy (Shana) Banas and his daughters Maeby and Juniper. He is now reunited with his parents, grandparents, brother, and other beloved family members. There will be a graveside memorial for Steve held on Aug 19, 2022 at 11 am at the Blackberry cemetery in Elburn for family and friends to attend.
