Wieslaw M. Hann Obituary Wieslaw M. Hann, age 93, of St. Charles, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Autumn Leaves in St. Charles.  He was born September 21, 1931 in Warsaw. Wies?aw was born in Warsaw, Poland and witnessed the horrors of World War II as a child.  As a young man, he studied engineering and was very interested in American history.   He valued freedom and detested communism under Russia.  Despite his love for his beloved Poland, he decided to leave and start a new life in a country that values freedom and self-determination.  He emigrated to the United States in the 60s with his wife to begin a new life, settling in Ann Arbor Michigan, where he worked as a successful Structural Engineer until he retired at the age of 72.  Wies?aw was a devoted husband for 52 years and raised 3 kids.  He and his abundant sense of humor will be greatly missed by his surviving children and grandchildren; his 3 granddaughters adored their dziadzio Wiesio.  He  is survived by his children Robert of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Christopher (Bernadette) of Geneva, and Renata of Chicago; grandchildren Jacob, Emily, Olivia, and Karina Hann; sister Alina Krzymowski; and nephew Krzyszt of Krzymowski. He was preceded in death by his wife Marianne. Funeral Mass for Wieslaw will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva with Father Sean Grismer celebrant.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIXV-oSYR18 Burial will be held Thursday, January 9 at 12:00 pm eastern at Arborcrest Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
