Carole S. (Moss) Banks

Carole S. Banks Obituary Carole Sue Banks was welcomed home to the Lord on July 30, 2025, at Arden Courts in Geneva, Il. Carole was born in Mr. Vernon, IL on January 23, 1937, to Frank and Eschol Moss. She was the oldest of two children, followed by her brother Brock. She attended and graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School in 1954. Her high school years brought her extraordinary joy. She performed in musicals, chorus, played the piano, engaged in student council, and became homecoming queen. Carole married her first husband, Don McCann, in Mt. Vernon in 1956. They lived in Baumholder, Germany for 17 months while Don was in the Army. Upon returning home, they lived in Decatur, IL, later moving to Springfield, IL, and then Naperville, IL. Carole was the loving and dedicated wife to husband, Ed Banks. They married on Valentines Day, February 14, 1995. They have been long-time residents of Geneva, IL. Here she enjoyed gardening, cooking, Swedish Days, flea markets, and summer concerts at Cantigny Park. Family was her greatest treasure. She loved spending time with her children, Steve, Lesa, Kelly, and bonus daughter Chris. The lights of her life were her grandchildren, and her role as "Grammy" brought out the kid in her. Carole is survived by her husband Ed of 30 years; brother Brock (Janet) Moss of Hot Springs Village, AR; Steve McCann and Helen Antel of Eastpoint, FL; Lesa and Michael Staley of Austin, TX; Kelly and David Kovacic of Sheboygan, WI; and Christine Banks of Springfield, IL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A visitation for Carole will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of her memorial service 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E.
