Jean A. (Aley) Sorce

Obituary Jean A. Sorce, age 76, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 6, 1946, in Elgin, the daughter of Gordon and Luella (Cudlip) Aley. Jean attended St. Mary of the Woods college. She was a valued CASA advocate and board member. She was part of the Junior League of Chicago, and a P.E.O. in chapter FE. She was an avid bible study member, and a longtime member of the Geneva Golf Club and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She is survived by her children Catherine (Morgan) Delagrange and Gordon (Lanay) Sorce both of Geneva; grandchildren J.D. Magnuson, Charlotte Delagrange, and Sean, Sarah, and Alyssa Sorce; brothers Tom (Linda) Aley and Jack (Lorel) Aley; and many other dear relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, sister Anne Beuttas, and her devoted husband Jeff who passed away in 2010. A memorial celebration will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 4:00 at the Geneva Golf Club, 831 South St, Geneva, IL 60134.
