Louis L. Pulio Obituary Louis "Lou" Pulio, a devoted husband, father, brother, son, and uncle, passed away on July 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. Born to Mitzie and the late Duke Pulio, Lou grew up in Hickory Hills, surrounded by a wonderful childhood that nurtured his curious and adventurous spirit. A proud graduate of the University of Illinois, Class of 1985, with a degree in Computer Engineering, Lou never stopped learning and exploring new passions. His thirst for knowledge and excitement for life inspired those around him, and his love for family and friends was unwavering. He loved his country and God. Lou is survived by his beloved wife, Frances, and their 15-year-old son, Louis, affectionately known as "Little Lou." Together, Big Lou and Little Lou shared countless adventures, including earning their black belts in Tae Kwon Do together and creating lifelong memories. Lou was his son's rock, supporting him every step of the way, and his involvement in Boy Scouts and other activities was a testament to his dedication to his family. Lou's many interests and hobbies brought him great joy, from playing hockey and golf to scuba diving and marksmanship. He also had a passion for motorcycles, and he and his wife, Frances, enjoyed taking long trips together, including a memorable journey to Sturgis, South Dakota. These adventures allowed them to explore new places, experience different cultures, and spend quality time together. The farm in Wisconsin was another special place for Lou, where he would often ride ATVs and connect with nature and friends. He loved nothing more than working on home projects, and his most treasured creation was the crib he built for his son. Dogs were also a big part of Lou's life, and he cherished the companionship and love they brought to his family. As the epitome of a family man and all-around great guy, he enjoyed taking family trips, especially to visit his mother and father in Florida. These trips often included fishing on the ocean or soaking in a hot tub. Regardless the activity, Lou always maintained the focus on the people with him and he knew the most important part of any experience was simply being with the ones he loved. Lou's mother will forever carry her immeasurable motherly love for her precious son. His brother, Vincent, and sister, Cheryl, will deeply miss their dear brother, as will his many friends, extended family, and acquaintances. His wife, Frances, and son, Little Lou, will cherish the memories of their time with Big Lou, a man whose humble nature and genuineness gave them perpetual comfort, security, and selfless love. As we remember Lou, we celebrate his life, his love, and his legacy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, curiosity, and joy. Rest in peace without pain, Big Lou.
