Rex A. Welsh

Obituary Rex A. Welsh, age 66, of Janesville, WI, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born November 9, 1955, in Orlando, Florida, the son of Albert and Vivian (Buettner) Welsh. Rex was a man who loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.  He rarely was without a smile and he enjoyed a good laugh.  He was a leader and could command a room but was more gentle than most.  In the various occupations he had during his life, he always went about his work joyfully.  He was creative in many ways and his life was spent on the lookout for the next adventure.  Now his adventure continues in Heaven and we look forward to taking the next “shortcut” with him again someday. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Lorraine (Sprouse); children Jennifer (Robert) Mamminga of Geneva, Dawn (Jon) DeJulio of Florida, Robin (David) Myers of Florida, and April (Garrett) Prescott of Florida; grandchildren Amber, Elena, and Ryan Mamminga, Bella, Ellie, and Gianna DeJulio, Charley, Catherine, and Jack Myers, and Deacon and Nora Prescott; mother Vivian Welsh of Florida; siblings Alan (Linda) Welsh and Debbie Welsh both of Florida; and many other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and sister Joyce Baldwin. A funeral service for Rex will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva with Brian Coffey officiating.
